This module consists of lectures, experiments and presentations.

Lectures include laboratory safety, experimental methods and presentation of engineering information.

For the experiments the students normally work in groups on topics such as:

• transport properties
• pumping and flow
• dimensional analysis and scale-up
• drag coefficients of spheres
• packed towers
• flowline assembly and operation
• heat transfer
