Comments:

This course does not correspond 1:1 with CE 2740, but should provide an ISU student sufficient background in statics to be successful in subsequent ISU coursework. In some topics it goes well beyond the scope of CE 2740 while omitting some other important topics. The most obvious of the topics omitted in this course are analysis of machines, Coulomb friction, and determination of centroids and moments of inertia of composite bodies. A student should be advised to pursue independent study of these omitted topics.
