Course Description:
The course program will address the following topics for which the computed time is inclusive of exercises: - The reference atmosphere (4.5 hours): The real atmosphere of state curves. The International Standard Atmosphere (ISA). The various types of shares, reducing the standard rate. - The measurement of speed (1.5 hours): The pitot tube, incompressible and compressible flow. The Mach number supersonic regime. Airspeed, calibrated airspeed, equivalent and true. - Elements of aerodynamics (3 hours): The turbulence, friction resistance and wake. The polar profile and wing, dell'ipersostentazione effect, the curvature of the profile and of the movable surfaces to the trailing edge. The interference resistance, the transition from the wing to the polar of the aircraft. - hovered Flight (6 hours): regimes of maximum flight distance and maximum hourly autonomy with and without wind. - General information on propulsion systems (4.5 hours). The propeller: Rénard of formulas I and II species and theory Rankine-Froude. Turbojet, turbofan, turboprop and motoelica. - The performance of the airplane (9 hours): Thrust and power required for level flight. The up schemes for turbojet aircraft and motoelica and its features speed. - Takeoff and landing (3 hours): time and space consumption for the various stages for aircraft turbojet and motoelica. - Cruises (6 hours): maximum hourly and mileage Autonomy for turbojet aircraft and motoelica. Diagram of use and shipping time. - Balance and longitudinal static stability (9 hours): neutral point in locked commands. Centering and static margin. Longitudinal control, equalizer angle necessary equilibrium pitching. - Tacking and curved motions in the symmetry and not (4.5 hours plan): The right turn and no. The callback and the effects on the horizontal tail plane. - The atmosphere is not at rest (3 hours): The burst, maneuver diagram and burst. - Introduction to the mechanics of the helicopter flight (7.5 hours): Terminology. The flight controls. The aerodynamics of the rotor. Performance and flight regimes, powers necessary and available. Rise regimes and service ceiling, down the flight and autorotation. The tack.
