Course Description:
This module commences with an introduction to the nature and development of entrepreneurship and emphasises the strong link between entrepreneurship and innovation. This leads to an overview of the schools of thought on entrepreneurship and an understanding of the entrepreneur and the entrepreneurial process. Creativity and innovation are examined with contextual emphasis on innovation in products, services and processes; product strategy, and new product/service development. Corporate entrepreneurship is explored and creative thinking is applied to identify venture opportunities, business planning, networking and technology transfer.
