The aim of this module is to build upon the basic skills of GIS learnt in GIS 1 and become more confident in the application of a GIS as a tool for environmental management. The focus is on developing transferable skills in the use of GIS and therefore involves using the GIS software and applying this knowledge to real life scenarios.

Students will therefore develop and enhance the analytical skills learned in GIS1 - (Principles of GIS).
