The objective of this course is to impart knowledge about basic principles of field surveying procedures and practices for civil engineering applications. It aims to explain different types of surveying done to measure distance, angle and elevation. It also introduces the students to modern surveying equipments & techniques. It also aims to educate the student with latest technologies in area of surveying like remote sensing, GIS and GPS. Through lab experiments, the students will gain hands on experience to use various surveying instrument for collection of field data.
