Nuclear Energy 1 - 4EUS31NU Goals Goals: This lesson provides the bases of nuclear physics, particle emissions and theirs effects. The second goal is to describe the characteristics and the specificities of nuclear energy production. Contact Gregoire KESSEDJIAN Content Items: Introductory to nuclear energy (Bernard Buirette) Nuclear and radioactivity- Nuclear and radioactivity; reactor generations; -Nuclear facilities in France; Surety principles *Nuclear physics and instrumentations (Grégoire Kessedjian) Subatomic particle properties; (wave - particles duality, element of restraint relativity: origin of mass energy) General characteristics of nuclei; radionuclide evolution ( decay chains and induced reactions) rays- matter interaction Experimental study : slowing down neutron measurement; study of gamma ray interaction using Ge detector.
