Course Description:

This course explores the nature of revolutions and their role in shaping the modern world. After looking at various definitions of the term 'revolution', and a
range of historical approaches to the study of revolutions, the course looks in turn at a series of case studies such as the American, French and Russian revolutions, and their causes, course and consequences.
