This course introduces the fundamentals of micro- and biofluids which is directly relevant for the majority of health technologies. It underpins a rapidly expanding, cutting-edge field and market of engineered medical and health solutions. It provides an interdisciplinary overview of biofluids theory in the micro- compared to macro- scale and introduces common problems for health technologies. Students will have hands on experiences in modelling and designing of devices through group projects and will develop an in-depth understanding of break-through health technologies.
