The student should be made aware that they will have three gaps if taking this courses as a substitute.  These are: (1) no discussion on quantification of materials state; (2) no discussion on diffusion in ceramics and polymers; (3) no obvious discussion on the use of thermodynamic databases; (4) no obvious discussion on the use of computational models. 
 
These gaps noted, it seems to be a well structured courses and is approved for substitution.
