This course, together with MECH236, are an appropriate substitution for EM 3240. I check 'requires review" as a reminder to make sure that the student has successfully completed both courses in order to recieve the transfer credits for EM 3240 at ISU. By itself, this course doesn't cover enough mateial to satisfy the first half of EM 3240, because it appears to be missing: normal stress, shear stress, normal strain, shear strain, mechanical properties, allowable stress design and/or failure theories, axial loading.
