Course Description:
This module provides a broad study in the principles of steady and unsteady state heat transfer, heat transfer with phase change, and radiation heat transfer. Students will develop skills in the design of practical heat transfer equipment with emphasis on improving efficiencies and the use of renewable energy sources.

This is an appropriate substitution. However, the course does not cover mass transfer it seems. This is analogous to heat transfer, but the student may not make the connection. The student may have a slower start in ChE 358.
