In this class, we explore the effective design methods for mechanical elements using foundational mechanics knowledge to achieve optimal performance, affordability, and quality. The curriculum includes the entire design process and emphasizes reliability and fatigue theories to enhance quality and safety. Our objective is to deeply understand the analysis, design, and selection methods for key mechanical elements (e.g., shafts, bearings, springs, and screws).
