This course offers an introduction to data analytics, covering essential concepts, principles, and tools.
We will explore foundational materials from statistics and mathematics, and computer science along
with applications across various domains. Across the course students will be disciplined the techniques
for handling data, such as cleaning, wrangling, processing, exploring, and analyzing. Key topics
include (1) exploratory data analysis emphasizing data summarization and visualization, (2) MonteCarlo simulations, and (3) regression analysis, which is one of the most widely used predictive
modeling techniques. To succeed in this course, basic mathematical and statistical background will be
needed.
