Course Description:

Students who successfully complete this course should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships between society and the environment, including through being able to give detailed examples.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of critical contemporary environmental issues, which may include consumerism, population growth and resource limits.
  3. Identify and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the environmental groups, including broader environmental governance networks
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of the socially constructed and political nature of environmental issues and values.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to understand and explain environmental issues through application of environmental theory.
